Ermelo is a remote town that is a three hour drive from
Johannesburg. The devotees from the surrounding towns got together to arrange their second annual
Ratha Yatra festival.

Below are the beautiful and most merciful Lordships
Sri Jagannath,
Sri Baladev and
Srimati Subadra before they embarked on the three hour journey to
Ermelo.

The picture below features the
Hamanskraal team of
enthusiastic chanters. Being on school holidays prior to this festival they
embarked on a daily
harinam for the entire week. In
reciprocation we facilitated their travels to attend this magnificent festival. Without their ecstatic
participation in the
harinam the festival would not have been the same. Of course they all had lost their voices by the next day and were blissfully exhausted!

Below
HH.
Bhakti Caitanya Swami gives the
introductory talk from the chariot at the
beginning of the procession.

Many plates of sumptuous
breyani and legendary
halava were distributed. The
harinam led everyone to the
Cassim Park Hall wherea purely Krishna conscious line up of spiritual
entertainment ensued. The youth performed three dramas that proved to be very effective preaching. The music group - 'The Golden Age' enthralled the crowed with their Krishna conscious Hip Hop musical performance. His Grace
Brhat-
mrdanga Prabhu and His Holiness
Bhakti Caitanya Swami both delivered
enlightening talks and were available, speaking to devotees and guests throughout the festivities. The festival culminated in blissful
kirtans leaving us all desiring to be in the next festival. Many books as well as candy
prasad were distributed.
