On the evening of Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa puja this year we called Krishna das Prabhu who is pictured above [the pic is the only one I could find of him and is taken from his web page.] He was as usual so enlivened to increase his committment to preach Krishna Consciousness. We were enlivened by his attitude. A few hours later at 2am his house burnt down. Krishna das Prabhu slipped his young son Darshan out through a burglar bar and sent him to get an axe from the gardener's quarters. This is what he used to slash the burglar bars and save his family from the flames of the burning house - including his mother in law who was recovering from a hip relacement operation. A neighbor later saw the burning thatch roof and broke the concrete pillars and steel gate and helped the rescue operation. The house burn down and everyone else escaped with no injuries by Krishna's kind mercy.
Krishna das Prabhu was hospitalized on the 26th of August and discharged yesterday. He sustained some injury in his ear and lungs etc. He was discharged yesterday - 8th Sept. Today as he was boarding a plane to go to work he collapsed and was hospitalized. A scan was down and a brain tumor is suspected.
We humbly appeal to the worldwide community to pray for his well being and for his family to have the strength to overcome these trying times.
His family and him were the host of many travelling preachers like, Their Grace's Hari Sauri Prabhu; Deena Bandhu Prabhu, Uttama Mataji and Partha Prabhu, Kurma Prabhu and many others. He is an outstanding Vaisnava. Please pray.
